Qujiang New District

Qujiang New District (Chinese: 曲江新区; pinyin: Qǔ​jiāng​ xīn​qū​) is a industrial and technology development district in Xi'an city, Shaanxi province, China.[1]

Contents

History

The district was first created as a tourism district called Xi’an Qujiang Resort in 1993.[1][2] The site originally had an area of 15.88 square kilometres. It has been expanded to 47 square kilometres. [3] The resort became Qujiang New District ten years after its establishment.[1] This is now a industrial and economic centre to foster growth in tourism and other industries.[1]

The district is now home to a number of businesses.

Geography

It is 5 kilometers south east of the capital Xi'an.
